What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating is a high-performance finishing process that applies a durable, protective, and visually appealing coating to metal surfaces. Unlike traditional paint, powder coating uses a dry powder that is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the item, then cured in an oven to form a tough, even finish. It resists chipping, scratching, and fading, making it ideal for industrial components, automotive parts, outdoor furniture, and household items. Powder coating is also environmentally friendly, producing minimal waste and containing no harmful solvents or VOCs.

What is Sandblasting?

Sandblasting is a critical surface preparation method used to clean, strip, and texture metal surfaces before coating or painting. The process involves blasting abrasive material at high pressure to remove rust, old paint, scale, and other contaminants. This ensures maximum adhesion and longevity for coatings like powder coating or paint. Sandblasting also restores the original profile of metal parts, making them suitable for refinishing or refurbishment. It’s an essential step for achieving a clean, smooth, and uniform surface that enhances both function and appearance.
